Back in September of 2015, E-Con Records released the original PANO Project as a co-release with the amazing experimental French label, Dhatura Records (thank you David Furodet). The concept behind PANO was to find a series of breathtaking, Panoramic images and hand them over to extremely talented electronic musicians to interpret as long form, musical compositions. Their goal was to find the soul within these stunning vistas and give them a voice so that they may all sing in their own unique language for the first time. We released 14 elegantly crafted compositions and over 2 hours & 2 CD’s of pure listening bliss.
PANO II was released two years later in September of 2017. With PANO II, we went the complete opposite way and focused our attention down into the microscopic world to explore a land often unseen, but one that reverberates into the macro landscapes we inhabit... and we found that they were every bit as expansive, beautiful, and bewildering. PANO II took a peek at the wiring under the board at the biggest mystery we know of. The very fabric of our reality.
Well…. all good things must come to an end, so here we are in the dying moments of 2019 to bring a close to the PANO Trilogy. The time has finally come. I will be sad to wave goodbye to this stunning series. They say good things happen in threes. We have some artists that have been with PANO for the entire ride and for others, this will be their first time. To each and every one of you, you have my deepest gratitude for helping to bring these visions to life. To birth something beautiful and worthwhile into this often-crazy world.
For some time, I couldn’t find an adequate theme to close with… and sometimes it just felt easier to leave it alone and let time creep along… and then I realized that without time, the Micro and Macro worlds we inhabit and paid tribute to in PANO wouldn’t exist.
Time is familiar to everyone, yet hard to define and understand. Science, Philosophy, Religion, and the Arts all have different definitions of time. Do we measure it with seconds, hours, years, and decades or do we measure it with our experiences? Physicists suggest that time is the progression of events, from the past to the present, and into the future. It’s the first time you pushed yourself up onto your feet and walked, it was your first words and when you fell in love. It was when you did all those amazing things in your life that make you smile every time you recall them… and it will be the time when we say farewell to our wonderful lives and all the people we have loved. So what is time? Time is you. Time is me. Time is us.
On the 11/11/11, the Electronomicon Group was born as a modest Facebook Group of 10 or so Friends to exchange feedback on
each others music. It has since grown into 2 Vibrant, Creative Communities of Artists spanning the Globe. E-CON Records is a device for giving a public voice to these Incredibly Talented Independent artists. Seek us out!...more

A really wonderful collection here. The original track is an ambient masterpiece, but then taken by a hand selected group of fantastic electronic artists and remixed into a variety of experiences and journeys. A 2016 favourite. James McGauran
